SOP Scientific and Technical Team
Since the day of its foundation, SOP has always had within its structure a highly specialized scientific team, composed of engineers, chemists, agronomists, nutritionists, biologists, and veterinarians with proven international experience in the sector. They are engaged daily in the validation and continuous improvement of all applications of SOP’s proprietary technology.
The Scientific and Technical Team is driven by the following key experts:
Eng. Daniele Aspesi
Biomedical and chemical engineer with over 10 years of international experience in Research and Development.
He has participated as a speaker at scientific events and has led innovative projects in the technological field.
At SOP, he serves as CTDO and is responsible for the strategic development of proprietary solutions.
Dr. Gioacchino Quarta
Nutritionist and agronomist with over 30 years of in-company and field experience in the agrifood sector.
Over the years, he has collaborated with numerous companies in the industry and studied its dynamics in depth.
At SOP, he is a speaker, trainer, and head of ruminants.
Marcello Ermido Chiodini, PhD
PhD in Agricultural Ecology, with a Master’s Degree in Plant Production and Protection Science.
He has conducted studies on ammonia and greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural practices and the management of slurry and digestate.
Within SOP’s R&D team, he is an author, research liaison, and focuses on sustainable agriculture.
The Technical-Sales Team
The goal is to bring the fruits of research into the field so that farmers and breeders can benefit from them, to support them in their growth process through the use of SOP products and solutions, and to bring field needs back to Research & Development in order to deliver effective solutions.

Paolo Schiavetta - Sales Manager
With over twenty years of international experience in the dairy cattle and forage sector, he has been with SOP since its very beginnings.
He is a trainer, key account manager, and head of the Italian sales network, coordinating the team of sales representatives and technicians.
Marco Rocchetta - Agri-livestock technical assistance
For over 15 years, he has provided daily support to clients and the sales network, particularly in the dairy cattle and forage sectors.
He is a key point of reference in environmental hygiene and in the management of bedding and cubicles.
