Responses on Vegetative Growth, Yield and Quality with the Application of Resonant® Fortify White Fertilizer in Vitis vinifera L. cv. Chardonnay

Interuniversity study on commercial-scale vineyards (Chardonnay) (Università di Padova, Università di Milano, University of California, Davis): the treatment Resonant for Wine / Resonant® Fortify White showed increased vigor, reduced water stress (−10%), higher yield (+16%), and elevated YAN (Yeast-Available Nitrogen) (+60%) compared to standard practices, as reported in the study.

Summary: The study was conducted in a commercial vineyard on Vitis vinifera L. cv. Chardonnay. In the treatment with Resonant® Fortify White (Resonant for Wine), the following were observed: increased vine vigor, reduced water stress (−10%), higher yield (+16%), and elevated YAN (+60%) compared to standard practices, indicating improved nitrogen uptake efficiency under the observed conditions.

In viticulture, balanced vigor, water stress management, and fruit maturation quality are key operational levers for production stability and wine quality. In particular, YAN (Yeast-Available Nitrogen) is a critical parameter as it influences yeast nutrition and fermentation kinetics, with practical implications for winery management and final product quality.

In this context, the article published in Italus Hortus, coordinated by Professor Meggio, reports an interuniversity study conducted at commercial scale, aiming to evaluate vine responses in terms of vegetative growth, yield, and quality indicators following the application of Resonant® Fortify White.

During the observed period, treated plants exhibited a generally more favorable agronomic profile compared to standard practices, with:

• Increased vigor

• Reduced water stress (−10%)

• Higher yield (+16%)

• Elevated YAN (+60%)

Overall, the reported results indicate improved nitrogen uptake efficiency and a positive impact on both productive and qualitative indicators in Chardonnay under the commercial vineyard conditions studied.
